Melissa Lemire, currently a Customer Care representative (Inside Sales) at SFM, discovered Passion for Paws through working as a Volunteer at another Dog Rescue. Inspired by our mission, Melissa joined as Communications Manager, where they handle the distribution of email communications for open volunteering positions, playdates and foster/ adoption opportunities to our community.

I have always been a huge animal lover, I studied Animal Welfare, Animal behavior and cognition, and knew I had to help out in any way I could. I volunteered at AHT Rescue with Horses for about 2 years, then Rescue All Dogs and made my way to Passion for Paws. I adopted my dog Brady from Rescue all Dogs and always knew I wanted to help other dogs find their forever homes. I wanted to find a way to help without being hands on with the dogs since I have no self control and would adopt them all, so helping out as Communications Manager was the perfect way! Volunteering at Passion for Paws has been deeply meaningful to me, as it gives my life a strong sense of purpose by allowing me to make a difference every day—helping ensure that one more dog finds the love and care it deserves.
