Irha Umar, currently working at Canada Life, discovered Passion for Paws through Instagram. Inspired by the organization’s mission, Irha joined as a campaign volunteer, where her main responsibility is creating email content for the campaigns Passion for Paws runs.

What motivated Irha to join the rescue is her deep love for dogs, especially her own dog, Rex, who is truly her world and best friend. Rex has taught her so much about love, loyalty, and compassion, and this bond inspired her to want to help other dogs in need. Volunteering at Passion for Paws is especially meaningful to her because it allows her to give back and make a difference in the lives of animals who deserve care, safety, and love. She believes every dog deserves a chance at a happy life, and she is grateful to be able to share the love she has for Rex with dogs who need it most.
