About Alexandra Koromilas - School Initiative Program Manager
Alexandra Koromilas is the School Initiative Program Manager at Passion for Paws Rescue, where she works closely with schools to bring the rescue’s educational, fundraising, and community initiatives to life. By collaborating with educators and school communities, she helps coordinate programs that give students meaningful and engaging ways to learn, get involved, and support rescue dogs in need.
After following Passion for Paws for over a year, Alexandra became increasingly inspired by the rescue’s work and knew she wanted to find a meaningful way to contribute. Having been a dog owner for most of her life, she has always had a deep love for animals and a strong passion for animal welfare. Combined with her love of working with children and people, the school initiative became a natural way to bring two of her greatest passions together.
Currently working as a legal assistant and planning to pursue further education in law and business, Alexandra brings her interests in advocacy and community involvement to her role. She works with Passion For Paws and schools to help turn ideas into experiences that fit students and communities, whether through educational programming, creative projects, fundraisers, school events, or opportunities to connect with rescue dogs.
Through the school initiative, Alexandra hopes to not only strengthen support for Passion for Paws and the animals in its care, but also inspire students and schools to recognize the impact they can have within their own communities. She believes that introducing young people to animal welfare and giving back can help foster empathy, compassion, leadership, and responsibility, while showing students that even small actions can make a meaningful difference.
